Itzhaki, in his days as coach of Maccabi Tel Aviv/Maor Al-Kalsasi
There are two options at stake - a professional manager or a coach.
Itzhaki has served in recent years as a professional consultant at Maccabi Tel Aviv and even as a coach for a short period.
Itzhaky recently began serving as a commentator and it is not yet clear whether he will choose to coach Beitar or continue in his current occupation. There is no doubt that before Itzhaky agrees to return to Beitar, he will demand to examine the club's professional plans.
Itzhaki (39) grew up in the youth department of Hapoel Ashkelon but broke through the ranks of Beitar Jerusalem, where he played for two terms - from 2003 to 2007, and from 2008 to 2010. He led the yellow-black club to the championship (2006/07) and the state cup (2008/09), and then won two championships with Maccabi Tel Aviv. He ended his playing career at the end of the 2017/18 season, and joined the professional team of the Yellows. Itzhaky served, among other things, as a temporary coach, and also as the professional manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv - a position he He resigned last May.
