Tilda Johansson pulled the ripcord and ended the season early.

But now she is talking about a possible comeback this winter.

Stockholm – In January, Tilda Johansson announced that she was ending the season and would no longer be available for the Swedish biathlon team for the remaining World Cups.

A completely surprising decision at this point in time.

But suddenly there could be an equally surprising return.

Biathlon ace about to make a comeback in the current season?

“I have tried but have come to the conclusion that now is the time to act.

I will therefore be taking an indefinite break from biathlon to find myself again.

What will happen in the future remains to be seen.

But now I will concentrate on myself and make sure that I become the best version of myself,” she confirmed at the time about her temporary exit from the Biathlon World Cup.

Johansson's teammate Elvira Öberg reacted with understanding.

It is “exhausting to be a top athlete,” Öberg explains to the Swedish TV station

SVT

.

“Health always comes first and I think this is a wise decision.”

She left it open whether Johansson would ever return to the World Cup.

After a few weeks of rest and recovery, the 24-year-old is feeling much better.

“I really feel relief in my body,” she said in an interview with the TV station

SVT.

Things are set to continue to improve for the 24-year-old Swedish biathlon hopeful in the next few weeks and months.

Biathlete Johansson may start at the national championship

However, there will be no return to the current World Cup season.

She still loves the sport of biathlon very much, “but at the moment it's not working, there has to be a change for me to come back.

Maybe I’ll take part in a national competition, the Swedish championships for example,” says Johansson, who doesn’t completely rule out a comeback this winter.
