What if this isn't an announcement of a change?
David Farrance is moving from Toronto to Germany – at least that’s what his Tinder profile says.
Ingolstadt – ERC Ingolstadt narrowly failed to win the big coup last season: the DEL championship.
In the end, the Munich team was stronger and won the ice hockey title.
Despite the defeat, the Ingolstadt fans won the hearts of the fans. David Farrance also seems to care about the hearts of the people in the region because he unintentionally announced his move - via a dating account.
This has probably never happened before, even in winter sports.

Rumors are brewing, he writes it on Tinder
There has been speculation in insider circles for a few days about Farrance's move to Germany.
The well-informed “Ice Blog” posted the ice hockey professional’s farewell to the Toronto Maple Leafs farm team, the Marlies, who is said to have said goodbye “with the goal of the DEL”.
ERC Ingolstadt has also been mentioned as a potential employer, but there has been no official confirmation from the club.
But Farrance had his own way of announcing the transfer.
Farrance is probably already looking for new acquaintances.
Because a Tinder profile photo of the 24-year-old is going viral, the description says: “New to Germany.
ERC Ingolstadt”.
The American is actually a defender and probably tries to score goals off the ice.
He was rated by experts as an “offensive-minded defender who has an underrated shot.”
So Farrance doesn't go about it in ice skates, but also on the Internet.
Promising for both the ERC and the Ingolstadt singles world.

The ice hockey portals joked about the photo, which shows Fararnce looking smart in a shirt and jacket, that they had never seen such an announcement before.
The fans also find it very amusing, almost no negative comments at all.
The Panthers blog “Die Pantherholiker” wrote: “Every 11 minutes a player falls in love with ERC Ingolstadt.
You Panthership now.”
One fan wrote: "David doesn't let anything go to waste," and another said: "If they included this in the release now, it would be really fancy." On January 23rd, 10:25 a.m., there was still no message on the homepage the ninth in the table, which can probably only get into the title race this year via the pre-playoffs.
After his time at Boston University, Farrance played twice in the NHL for the Nashville Predators, who drafted him in the third round at No. 92 in 2017.
This was followed only by appearances in the youth leagues AHL and ECHL with the Milwaukee Admirals, Chicago Wolves, Colorado Eagles, Toronto Marlies and Newfoundland Growlers.
Maybe Farrance will soon find happiness in Bavaria - both in sport and in love.
