Lille's Leny Yoro joined agent Jorge Mendes, but Olivier Létang opposed his departure.

Two signatures and one departure. Far from the eleven recruits of the last summer transfer window, Paris went through a month of January without a major arrival despite

Thursday morning, on the PSG Campus training ground, the players, Luis Enrique and his staff as well as part of the staff dedicated to the first team met for a goodbye.

This little event was not reserved for Hugo Ekitike but for Sara Viera, a linen worker of the club for 30 years and who is going to take a well-deserved retirement.

Still present during Wednesday's session, Ekitiké has packed his bags since then.

Shortly before 3 p.m., one of the two outcasts (with Layvin Kurzawa) boarded the plane to go to Germany.

A few moments earlier, Paris and Frankfurt had just reached an agreement after tough negotiations for a loan with an almost obligatory purchase option, close to 30 million euros.

Arriving at 4:30 p.m., Ekitike then underwent his medical examination and signed his contract before 6 p.m.

The end of a long series which began on August 9, the day when the former Reims striker learned from Luis Campos that PSG was no longer counting on him.

Since the resumption of the championship, he no longer appeared in the Parisian group for the matches and did not play a minute.

Same treatment for Layvin Kurzawa, who will not leave this winter unless he accepts an offer from exotic countries where the market is not yet closed.

The full-back has had interests that have not materialized and there is a good chance he will stay until the end of his contract in June.

In terms of departures, Noha Lemina is loaned with an option to buy to Woverhampton (€1 million +% on resale) and Cher Ndour to Braga.

The other notable episode of this month of January concerns Nordi Mukiele.

Little used by Luis Enrique, the French international would have liked to join Bayern Munich.

But between the two clubs, negotiations never came to fruition.

Battle postponed for Leny Yoro

The bulk of the transfer window will have been decided before the start of January with the arrival of left-handed Brazilian defender Lucas Beraldo (20 years old), who despite his inexperience arrived from Sao Paulo for 20 million euros.

He completes a sector diminished by the absences of Presnel Kimpembe, Milan Skriniar and Nuno Mendes.

While we could have expected to see another more experienced player arrive in defense, the capital club ultimately maintained its confidence in the current group.

A considered choice which we will judge soon enough if it was wise as the round of 16 of the Champions League against Real Sociedad looms (February 14 and March 5).

In recent days, Parisian decision-makers have long questioned the need to recruit a player.

Luis Enrique would have liked a defender combining speed and recovery quality but the lack of opportunities on the market led the club not to move in the final hours.

Luis Campos worked well for Lille's Leny Yoro (18), who joined agent Jorge Mendes, but Olivier Létang opposed his departure.

Paris will have to return to the charge next summer but the competition promises to be fierce since the international Espoirs is sought by Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

In midfield, the Parisian leaders relied on the Brazilian Gabriel Moscardo (18 years old).

He should have joined the team in January but a problem with his left foot, detected during the medical examination, changed the plans, postponing his arrival until next summer, leaving Paris with the feeling of a very calm transfer window.
