2024-02-01T10:01:51.697Z

Highlights: Lorenz Assignon will leave Stade Rennais for Burnley in the last hours of the transfer window. The 23-year-old right-back will be on loan until the end of the season with a purchase option of around 10 million euros. Guela Doué will not join Paris FC on loan, as we announced several days ago. Désiré's big brother will be in direct competition with Ghanaian international Alidu Seidu, recruited this winter in Clermont.

In discussions with Galatasaray, the 23-year-old right-back, awaiting departure for Rennes, will be loaned to Burnley in the very last

A few hours before the end of the transfer window which ends, this Thursday at 11:59 p.m., Stade Rennais will let Lorenz Assignon leave.

No longer really a first choice for his coach Julien Stéphan, the right back is close to bouncing back in England.

While the Turkish club Galatasaray had moved forward in recent hours to make him the replacement for Sacha Boey, transferred to Bayern Munich, it is ultimately Burnley, 19th in the Premier League, who should secure the signature of the 23-year-old defender.

According to our information, the deal is being concluded for a loan until the end of the season with a purchase option of around 10 million euros.

After leaving himself a night of reflection to decide between Galatasaray and Burnley, the native of Grasse (Alpes-Maritimes) opted in favor of the team coached by the Belgian Vincent Kompany where he will find the French Wilson Odobert, Han-Noah Massengo and Maxime Estève who must officially commit this Thursday from Montpellier.

Assignon, whose name was mentioned at OM at the start of the week without the possibility really materializing, is expected across the Channel to undergo his medical examination.

His departure will put a definitive end to the Guela Doué saga who, as we announced several days ago, will not join Paris FC with whom discussions were well advanced for a loan at the start of the transfer window.

Désiré's big brother will be in direct competition in Rennes with Ghanaian international Alidu Seidu, recruited this winter in Clermont.

He is currently the subject of discussions for an extension of his contract which ends in 2025.
