Fired for the ninth time this season in the Euroleague:
Anadolu Efes said goodbye today (Thursday) to its Turkish coach Erdem Can, after only eight months on the job.
This was Chan's first year as a head coach of a Euroleague team, after serving as the coach of Turkey's Turk Telekom and before that as an assistant coach at Fenerbahçe for 8 years.
Although the team has a disappointing record of 15:9 in the Euroleague, but recently there has been an improvement.
After an injury-riddled spell, the team recently settled down with wins over Barcelona and Bologna, before now falling on a three-game losing streak in all competitions - including a 26-point defeat to Zalgiris Kovna.

Even before Chan's dismissal, no less than eight coaches were dismissed this season in the Euroleague.
Among them, Dimitrios Itoudis, who left Fenerbahce, Sergio Scariolo, who was fired from Virtus Bologna, and the French Villervan, which has already changed three coaches this season and parted ways with J. Parker and Genmarco Potzko.
