Jan Scherrer, the next winter sports star, is seriously injured at the X Games.

His one-year-old daughter cheers up the Swiss in a special way.

Zurich/Aspen – The list of serious injuries in the current winter sports season is getting longer and longer!

In the past few weeks, several world-class athletes from the ski circus have had to contend with falls, some of them violent.

Among other things, ski star Aleksander Aamodt Kilde had to end his season after a fall, and shortly afterwards his girlfriend Mikaela Shiffrin was also hit during the descent in Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Now snowboard star Jan Scherrer has also suffered a serious injury.

The sweet attempts at encouragement from his one-year-old daughter make the Swiss smile again despite the end of the season.

What happened: Scherrer fell during his last run in the halfpipe at this year's Winter X Games in Aspen, USA.

Videos show how the 29-year-old had an accident while landing on the runway after a spectacular trick in the air and remained injured.

The bitter diagnosis: Scherrer suffered a fracture of his left heel bone.

Even though no surgery is necessary, the injury means an early end to an already difficult season in which he repeatedly struggled with health problems.

Scherrer is now recovering from the fall in his native Switzerland and is receiving active support from his one-year-old daughter Sienna.

In a video that the snowboarder published on Instagram, you can see how Sienna imitates her limping father while running, making her parents smile.

True to the motto: Laughter is the best medicine.

“At least my daughter is having the best time watching me jump around the apartment on one foot,” Scherrer writes about the short clip.

Many fans and colleagues are amused by his daughter's funny performance, and there are also numerous well wishes.

“I’ll be back in three months,” says Scherrer optimistically.
