World champion and ex-Bayern defender Jérôme Boateng has found a new club.
The 35-year-old has signed with Italian first division club US Salernitana until the end of the season.
There he should help to ensure relegation in Serie A.
Salernitana is currently in last place, the gap to the rescue bank is already six points.
Boateng has been without a club since his contract with Olympique Lyon was terminated last summer.
In the meantime, FC Bayern was also toying with a return campaign, including Boateng training at Säbener Straße for almost a week.
Ultimately, the bosses decided against signing him.
Now comes the new beginning in Italy.
Bayern legend Franck Ribéry ended his career in Salernitana in the 2021/2022 season.

As hoped, FC Bayern Munich secured the services of wing speedster Bryan Zaragoza in the winter.
On deadline day, the record champions announced the transfer of the Spaniard, who was originally only supposed to come to Säbener Straße in the summer.

As the record champions announced on their website, talent Taichi Fukui will be loaned to Portugal for the remainder of the season.
The 19-year-old Japanese U20 international is set to take the next step into professional football at first division club Portimonense SC.

FC Bayern has once again responded to the acute personnel shortage.
The Munich team is about to sign winger Bryan Zaragoza shortly before the transfer deadline.
The 22-year-old was already on Säbener Straße on Thursday and, according to

, took part in the training.
The record champions brought Zaragoza's move from Granada FC forward by half a year.
The Spanish international would have moved to the record champions in the summer and had therefore already signed until 2029 in December.
The transfer fee is now expected to be around 17 million euros plus bonuses, around four million more than originally planned.
Zaragoza had already posted a picture of him signing the contract weeks ago that he was “happy and excited to start a new challenge in my life.”

FC Bayern's first transfer on Deadline Day is fixed!
Jonah Kusi-Asare is moving from AIK Solna to the Bavarian capital.
The German record champions confirmed this on their club website.
The 16-year-old signed a long-term contract at Säbener Straße and will initially gain match practice with the U19s.
According to media reports, the Swedish junior international will cost around five million euros in transfer fee.

Bryan Zaragoza has now arrived in Munich.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Bayern have agreed on an immediate transfer with Granada FC.
According to Romano, the Munich team will pay around 3 million euros in transfer fees and up to a further 5 million euros in bonus payments so that the Spaniard can play at Säbener Straße this winter.
Zaragoza should therefore take part in the record champions' training session on Thursday.

When Sacha Boey was introduced, sports director Christoph Freund confirmed that the Munich team is trying to lure Bryan Zaragoza to Munich earlier than originally planned.
According to Sky, the player is also ready to move to Säbener Straße in the winter.
The Munich team is currently in negotiations with FC Granada and is said to have offered an additional three million euros in transfer fee so that Zaragoza moves to FCB now and not in the summer.
However, the Spaniards are not yet satisfied with the offer.
Should an early deal with Zaragoza fail to materialize, FC Bayern appear to have Ajax captain Steven Bergwijn on the list as an alternative.

And on Monday (January 29th) Bayern's transfer activities seem to be continuing happily.
According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Munich team have agreed on a transfer of Jonah Kusi-Asare with the Swedish first division club AIK Solna.
According to Romano, FCB is putting a transfer fee of around five million euros plus additional bonuses on the table for the 16-year-old striker.

The new addition is scheduled to travel to Munich this week
Kusi-Asare is considered a great offensive talent and will initially be scheduled for the second team, but will also train with the professionals.
According to the sports paper, the 1.96 meter giant is expected in Munich this week.
There is currently no concrete information about the term of Kusi-Asare's contract with Bayern.
However, it can be assumed that the youngster will sign a long-term contract.
After the transfers of Eric Dier and Boey, Kusi-Asare could be the third player in the current winter transfer period that Bayern will sign under sporting director Christoph Freund.
