Danny Avdia was interviewed yesterday (Thursday) in the United States by reporter Chase Hughes, and talked about the physical process he went through this season in the Washington Wizards uniform and in the NBA.
"I didn't put on much weight, but I did work on how I move and how I create strength. Simply on the ability to use my body," the Israeli explained.
"I feel like I've always been shy when it comes to contact. I've always tried to finish near players, I've always tried to go around between players. But then I realized, 'I'm 2.06'. It takes time to understand how physical you can be and use that to your advantage."
"I was always trying to go around people. But then I understood 'man, I'm 6-9.'"
Deni Avdija is getting a lot better (and more confident) at playing through contact.
It's helping him put up career numbers on the offensive end.

Avdia continued and said: "I realized how strong I can be. It's getting more and more solid and when teams try to increase the physicality, I'm already used to people being physical and I'm physical too.
"I feel like even when they increase the intensity, I'm ready. It's part of my game now. When you make contact in the league you get a lot of fouls. I embrace it."
