The seven-time Formula 1 world champion (2008, 2014, 2015, then from 2017 to 2020) should explode the Scuderia's payroll.
As announced by La Gazzetta dello Sport this Friday, February 2, Lewis Hamilton will receive remuneration of 50 million euros per season, from his arrival at Ferrari in 2025.
A sum far greater than the 11 million earned by his future predecessor, the Spaniard Carlos Sainz Jr. Also more than Charles Leclerc, the other Ferrari driver (33 million).
However, the Briton will not be paid as well as at Mercedes, his current team.
The German team would offer 60 million euros per year to the 39-year-old driver, since the extension of his contract last summer.
Sir Lewis's remuneration will therefore decrease, although this should not represent a big financial problem for him.

His transfer to Ferrari, one of the craziest in the history of Formula 1, is already raising great expectations.
One of the greatest drivers in his discipline joins what is certainly the most legendary team in the paddock.
However, it has not imposed itself in the manufacturers' ranking since 2008. None of its drivers have won the world champion title since Kimi Räikkönen in 2007.

For his part, Lewis Hamilton is coming out of several complicated seasons at Mercedes.
After eleven years with the German team and ultra domination in the heart of the 2010s, he has not won a single race in the last two seasons.
The most successful driver in history (tied with Michael Schumacher) has not been world champion since 2020.
