Summary: Maccabi Tel Aviv - Hapoel Jerusalem 1:2/Sport1

Maccabi Tel Aviv won the race to sign striker Elad Madmon.

Hapoel Hadera announced today (Friday) that the promising striker was sold to the Yellows for 1.6 million euros, and future bonuses of 400 thousand euros subject to winning titles.

Hadera will keep 10 percent of the future sale of the player, who will continue to play at the club on loan until the end of the season.

The owner of Hadera, Yakir Schwartz, said: "This issue is extremely important, both in the size of the deal, and in terms of image, and above all, it puts the club at the forefront of the current transfer market. Elad remains at Hapoel Hadera until the end of the current season, which was our threshold condition for the beginning of the contacts. Intolerable rumors about such and such percentages for this or that person in the deal, no party in the club owns any percentages neither close nor outside of him. The club's net deal."

Schwartz added and wrote: "All along the way in dealing with the clubs it was clear to everyone that beyond the deal the club should strive to secure the professional and financial future of Elad, who chose to stay at the club throughout the years even when he was not under contract. I am proud of Elad for five years of knowing him and I met real, disinterested people who believed all along that Hapoel Hadera was the right place for Elad. From here I want to congratulate Elad and know that he will do everything to contribute to our goal of securing another season in the Premier League."

Elad Madmon is undoubtedly the breakthrough of the season in the Premier League so far.

The 19-year-old player was not planned to be a leading player in Hapoel Hadera this season, but in 16 appearances he already has eight league goals out of a total of 12 for his team.

Madmon also scored this season against Maccabi Tel Aviv in the surprising 1:1 draw at Bloomfield Stadium, and he also met the Yellows in round eight of the State Cup.

In the table of top scorers of the Premier League, only Eran Zahavi, Franzi Piero, Dean David and Jordan Shua are ahead of Madmon, while the diamond from Hadera shares the fifth place with Guy Melamed.
