German ski jumpers win two medals at the Ski Flying World Championships
The German ski jumpers want to take the tailwind after team bronze at the Ski Flying World Championships on Kulm with them into the next competitions.
“It was very important to leave here with two medals.
That gives us real strength for the next time,” said national coach Stefan Horngacher to the German Press Agency.
“I think we’ll now go out with a good feeling and go back into the World Cup with a little more ease.”
One day after individual silver for Andreas Wellinger, bronze on Sunday in Bad Mitterndorf, Austria was the second medal for the German team.
Pius Paschke and Karl Geiger in particular improved significantly compared to the individual competition.
“Today they showed that they are not as far away as it sometimes seems.
They haven't forgotten how to ski jump.
That gives them motivation again,” said Horngacher.
