Summary: Tottenham - Brentford 2:3/Sport1
Lucas Bargaval was one of the hottest names on the shelf in the transfer window that actually ended last night (Thursday) in the major European leagues.
His name was linked with a move to big clubs, led by Barcelona, which was considered the favorite to sign him, but Tottenham - who announced this evening about his signing - managed to make a big grab.
Bergvall celebrates his 18th birthday today and he gets to celebrate as a Tottenham player, who reportedly paid 10 million euros for him to his team Dürrgarden and the amount may still increase over the years depending on the achievements of the player and his new team.
He will officially join Tottenham only at the end of the season and will stay at least until the summer of 2029.

Bergvall stayed in London and met with the leaders of the team, including the owner Daniel Levy and the coach Ange Postecoglou and also spoke with Diane Kolosevski, the Swedish midfielder of Tottenham who helped convince them to choose the Roosters and not Barcelona.
Despite his young age, Bergvall has played in all of Sweden's youth teams and last month he even made his senior team debut when he played for half an hour in the victory over Estonia in a friendly match.
Barcelona was the leading candidate to join him, although they offered about 7 million euros and it was even the German Eintracht Frankfurt that agreed to pay more, about 9 million euros.
In the end, Tottenham's offer fell through, when the player was also convinced to move to London after it was made clear to him that he would be sold to the team he chooses to move to.
