After two wins over Detroit and San Antonio, the Washington Wizards (39:9) and Danny Abadia's difficult game streak began with a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers and tonight they suffered a second consecutive loss, this time 110:102 to the Miami Heat (23:26).
Danny Avdia provided a good game personally, with 15 points and 8 rebounds.
The Wizards ran to an 11-point lead in the second quarter, 34:45, but by the break it was only 3 and in the third quarter the guest from Florida won 15:31 on the way to completing the turnaround.
The Heat built a double-digit lead of their own and never looked back, until they recorded a second straight win.
Avdia earned his second highest minutes of the season.
The Israeli spent 35 minutes on the floor, 3 less than his season high set against Brooklyn in November, and was accurate on 75% of his shots from the field: 5/6 for 2 and 1/2 for 3, in addition to 2/3 from the free throw line.
In addition, he had 2 assists, 3 turnovers and 5 fouls.
Jimmy Butler and Miami edged Washington and a good performance by Abadia/Reuters
Jimmy Butler, who was not included in the rosters for this year's All-Star Game, led Miami with 24 points and 9 rebounds.
His teammate Bam Adebayo, who will appear in the All-Star game as a substitute, tonight provided 20 points and 14 rebounds for the winner.
Washington was led by Corey Kispert who scored 26 points, including 6/14 from beyond the arc, with Jordan Paul adding 16 points and 10 assists.
