The Israeli artistic swimming team advanced today (Saturday) to the finals of the World Championships in Doha, Qatar as part of the group acrobatics exercise.
The team finished in tenth place in the qualifiers with a score of 206.8200 points, with 12 teams qualifying for the final which will take place tomorrow (Sunday).
The team performed all the perfectly complex jumps to music from the musical "Mamma Mia".
The acrobatic exercise entered the Olympic program in Paris 2024 for the first time, and is part of the ranking that could put them in a historic performance at the Olympics, but for that, you have to wait until the end of the championship and the total score of all the exercises is combined.
The team's staff includes Shelly Bobritsky, Ariel Nashi, Kathy Kunin, Aden Belcher, Noy Gazela, Nicole Nakhshonov, Maya Dorf, Neta Robitzak and Aya Mazor.
The coaches are Savta Belcher, Larissa Kunin, Valeria Afrialeva, and the head of the delegation is Noa Kadosh.
This is the second final to which the national team has qualified after the technical duet pair, Bobritzky and Nasi, qualified yesterday for the final that will take place on Monday.
