The individual jumping on the large hill took place in Willingen, Hesse.

After the first round, Finn
Antti Aalto
was surprisingly in the lead with a jump of 147.5 meters.
But after the second jump he fell back to 14th place
at just 128 meters
.
The German ski jumpers disappointed at the home World Cup and delivered their weakest performance of the entire winter.
Local hero
Stephan Leyhe
, who celebrated his only World Cup victory to date on the Mühlenkopfschanze in 2020, flew on
131 and 135.5 meters
and was the best German in
15th place
.
“Today, right from the start, things didn’t work out the way we had imagined.
We will look for the errors,” said national coach

with 125.5 meters in the second jump .

(35th) missed the second round of the top 30 after weak jumps.
«I'm really annoyed.
I just didn't take the jump well.
I didn’t plan on leaving bitterly,” said Geiger.
Surprisingly, the Austrian overall World Cup leader
Stefan Kraft
(39th) was eliminated after just one jump of 122 meters.
This was the first time he missed the second round this season.
«Ski jumping happens quickly when the conditions are difficult.
I have to swallow that today.
It doesn't help," said the 30-year-old.

Conclusion
: In the end it was not only a very bitter afternoon for the German team, which only went into the final with three jumpers, but also for Stefan Kraft, who even missed the second round.
Surprisingly at the top is the Finn Antti Aalto.

: Only Stefan Kraft is still sitting up here.
But the Austrian only managed 122 meters in actually good conditions and was eliminated in the first round.
