Antoine Dupont had a great time before changing disciplines.
Expected this week with the French rugby sevens team with a view to preparing for the Olympic Games, the star of the Blues and Stade Toulouse was decisive in his club's victory (46-26) against Bayonne this Saturday evening in the Top 14. A success with the offensive bonus which places the reigning French champions in second place in the championship before a two-week break.
The player, starting at the opening and captain, was decisive against the Basques.
First by scoring a try, the third in his last three Top 14 matches, by penetrating the defensive curtain of Rowing Bayonnais with his speed.
Then, by delivering a superb assist to his three-quarter center Pita Ahki, a chistera after a ball recovered by him on a counterattack (20th).

And finally, with a new offering for Pierre-Louis Barassi on his team's sixth try (80th).
A very inspired kick pass, after having already made the difference on his supports to start the action.
THE BONUS TRY 🔥
But what a last action and what a test from @StadeToulousain!!!

“Toto” Dupont, who has decided to give up on the 2024 Six Nations Tournament with a view to possible participation in the Paris Olympic Games, must join the Bleus du 7 meeting from Monday to Friday at Insep for working towards the next stages of the Sevens Series, the world circuit, in Vancouver (February 23-25) then Los Angeles (March 1 - 3).
In his absence, Fabien Galthié's XV of France lost heavily against Ireland (17-38) on Friday in Marseille.
His replacement, Maxime Lucu, was disappointing against the XV du Trèfle on the Vélodrome pitch.
