Biathlon star Dorothea Wierer leaves it open whether she will end her career after the season.

The runner-up in the overall World Cup last season had the goal of taking first place.
But this goal is already no longer achievable because things are not going well for Wierer this winter.

For this reason she had to miss several World Cup races and only recently celebrated her comeback in Antholz.
Due to the difficult season, it cannot be ruled out that Dorothea will end her career in the summer and put her skis away.
First of all, the focus is on the World Cup.
“I will concentrate as best as I can for the next two weeks and get the most out of myself.

The Italian does not rule out the end of her career.
In an interview with the Italian newspaper

Wierer was recently quite clear.
“I have made my decision.
Only me and my husband Stefano know her.
I made this decision right now during my break.
At the end of the season I will reveal them, but for now I’m not saying anything.”

But Wierer is heading to the World Cup with subdued expectations.
The current winter went too badly for her, in which a 14th place was her best result.
“You don't get back into shape so quickly if you've been sick for a long time.

In the future, family planning will be a priority for Wierer, which is closely linked to the continuation of her career.
