The world champion in windsurfing Sharon Cantor, landed today (Sunday) from Spain and was warmly received by dozens of members of her club in the trawler, family members and friends.
Who else came to welcome her, is the former world champion and her club member, Lee Korzitz.
When Kantor saw Korzitz, she began to shed tears when Korzitz herself congratulated her and said: "Sharon Alofa, we grew up in the same club and when I came back she came to receive me and now I came to receive her, she is amazing and gave a fight."
Kantor was shocked by the reception, when she was not given the champagne shower either, when she knew this in advance and therefore went barefoot to the reception hall.
"I always believed I could, I'm really happy," she said.
"I got there with crazy energy, we're the best in the world. I'm proud of Shahar Tibi and Kati Spichkov who fought until the end and I'm so glad I did it. I can't believe that I'm world champion."
Kantor also said: "Now I want to enjoy it. It was a difficult week, when in the final I knew I had a chance that I could do it and in the last meters I couldn't stop the excitement."

The coach of the women's team Shahar Tzuberi said: "It was a difficult, challenging competition. All the pressure of the Olympic trials and the internal competition made it difficult for all the surfers and I was worried if we would be able to get on the podium like the athletes are used to, so now the joy is great. Sharon won and was crowned world champion and Katie finished third. It's another year that two female athletes are on the podium. Shahar Tibi had a terrible competition. This format is very cruel and she was disqualified in the quarterfinals. In two days I will submit my recommendation for her representative for the Olympics."
