Franck Ribéry's son seems to be following in his father's footsteps.

The Bayern legend is demonstrated by his own youngsters in training.

Munich – Franck Ribéry has legendary status at FC Bayern.

The French dribbling king played for the Reds for twelve years until his departure in 2019 and won numerous titles.

In Munich they are longing for a crowd favorite with similar skills.

The wait could soon be over, as Ribéry's son is preparing to follow in his father's great footsteps.

The Filius seems to be blessed with similar dribbling skills - the famous father had to experience this “painfully” himself.

Franck Ribéry remains loyal to FC Bayern after the end of his career - his son plays in the youth ranks

Ribéry is still closely linked to FC Bayern, even though the 40-year-old did not end his career in Munich.

After two years in Florence, the offensive star moved on to Salernitana, where it finally ended in autumn 2022.

Since then, the Frenchman has been commuting between Munich and the Italian port city of Salerno, southeast of Naples.

Ribéry was apparently back in the Bavarian capital recently.

The amateur footballer shared a video on Instagram of himself and his eldest son Seïf el Islam, who plays for FC Bayern's U13 youth team.

“Training session with the FC Bayern U13!

Wait until the end... what are you doing to me, my son?" writes Ribéry.

Ribéry is played dizzy by his 12-year-old son

What happened?

In the short video excerpt from Bayern training on a small field in an indoor facility, Ribéry first shows a few step-overs, like in the best of times.

His following pass to his teammate is taken directly, but the goalkeeper is able to parry.

Suddenly the 2013 Champions League winner finds himself on the defensive, a role that the technician was not particularly comfortable with even as an active professional.

His 12-year-old son probably knows that too.

On the right side, Ribéry's offspring comes to the ball and dizzyingly dribbles past his father - there is a tunnel on top.

He then ignites the turbo and hits the net with his left outer instep - a dream goal, as we used to know from Ribéry.

Ribéry's son ridicules his famous father in Bayern training

The cheers from fans on Instagram were endless.

“Your son is a legend”, “the successor is secured” or “Bavaria's future is shining” are things that are said in the comments.

There are also lots of laughing emojis.

Ribéry was ridiculed by his own son, but seems to take the action with humor.

Ribéry's long-time teammate at FC Bayern, Jerome Boateng, who signed in Italy, left a heart-eyes emoji.

The 2014 world champion has found a new club with US Salernitana after half a year without a club.

Ribéry is also said to have been involved in the negotiations.

Has FC Bayern already found Ribéry's successor?

It will be a few years before Ribéry's son can follow in his father's footsteps.

A legitimate successor may have already been found in Bryan Zaragoza, who is very similar to the Frenchman with his style of play: Bayern's new “street footballer” is getting started.
