At the away game in Ingolstadt, Dynamo Dresden fans presented a discriminatory banner.

That probably has consequences.

Ingolstadt/Dresden – The fans of Dynamo Dresden caused a stir at the third division game in Ingolstadt on Sunday (February 4th) and secured negative headlines for their club.

In the 1:2 defeat against the “Schanzer” a two-part banner was held up at the beginning of the second half with the inscription “There is only one ridiculous DFB... and two genders”.

According to information from the German Press Agency,

this could

not be without consequences.

Because the DFB has now initiated an investigation against the second-placed team.

“The association confirmed to the German Press Agency on Monday that this involved an interruption of the game after an investor protest, a banner and the burning of pyrotechnics,” says the report from Monday afternoon.

When asked, the SGD did not want to comment.

The banner from the Dynamo block could still have consequences for the club.

Dynamo Dresden threatens to pay a fine after gender banner: DFB investigates

It was only last November that a very similar banner appeared in the Leverkusen block during their guest appearance in Bremen.

“There are many styles of music, but only two genders,” it said.

Last week, the “Werkself” were sentenced to a fine of 18,000 euros because the association classified the banner as discriminatory and unsportsmanlike.

It is not the first time that fans of the traditional Saxon club have attracted attention.

For example, in the 2022/23 second division relegation season, the inventory of a snack stand was destroyed during the game in Bayreuth, and the material damage amounted to around 20,000 euros.

Dresden has already been fined in the current round, most recently in January for setting off pyrotechnics.

Cost: 90,000 euros.

In all likelihood, Sunday's banner will also have financial repercussions.
