Jürgen Klinsmann is very close to the title.
South Korea has reached the semi-finals of the Asian Championship, and FC Bayern is still without its regular player.
Munich – “I don’t want the decision to be made so late every time,” said Jürgen Klinsmann after the win against Australia.
“I wish we could decide earlier.
But maybe that’s our story in this tournament.”
After a thrilling game in the quarter-finals of the Asian Championship, the former national coach still had every reason to celebrate because his team from South Korea made it into the semi-finals after extra time.
Klinsmann only needs two wins to complete the winter fairy tale for South Korea.
Jürgen Klinsmann wants to win the Asian Championship with South Korea
The team from Jordan, which has reached the round of the last four for the first time ever, is now waiting in the semi-finals.
South Korea is hoping for its third title at the Asian Cup – and for the end of the long dry spell.
The country last triumphed at the continental tournament in 1960.
“We are still here and we will be here until the end,” promised Klinsmann after the extremely close quarter-finals.
Things didn't look good for South Korea for a long time in the round of 16 against Saudi Arabia; Cho Gue-sung only saved his team in extra time with his equalizer in the ninth minute of added time.
In the penalty shootout, coach Jürgen Klinsmann's team had the necessary bit of luck and moved into the quarter-finals against Australia.

South Korea's national coach Klinsmann's team makes it exciting
The situation there was similar to that in the round of 16; it was only the equalizer from a penalty kick in the sixth minute of stoppage time that saved the South Koreans into extra time.
There, top star Heung-Min Son (104th) decided the game with his goal to make it 2-1.
“No matter how exhausted and exhausted we are, there are no excuses,” said Son after the game.
“We finally want to bring the trophy home.” South Korea’s national coach, Jürgen Klinsmann, is likely to agree with this.
The 59-year-old only took over the position in March 2023 and received a contract until after the 2026 World Cup. An important title after less than a year would be a great success for the former DFB coach.

After South Korea made it to the semi-finals: Minjae Kim is still missing from FC Bayern
But one man's joy is another man's sorrow.
FC Bayern defender Minjae Kim is playing for South Korea at the Asian Championship and will continue to miss coach Thomas Tuchel after reaching the semi-finals.
The Munich team's staffing levels remain tense due to numerous injuries.
At the tournament, Kim would only be able to play again in the final; he served a yellow card suspension in the semi-final against Jordan.
And who knows: maybe winning the Asian Championship will give Kim a positive boost.
In that case, it would also be a win for Tuchel and FC Bayern.
