A possible candidate is certainly Mick Schumacher.
Munich - The Formula 1 world is still upside down after Lewis Hamilton's move from Mercedes to Ferrari.
As soon as the signature in the contract has dried, there is already speculation online about possible successors and two Germans are very popular.
In addition to Sebastian Vettel, Mick Schumacher's name is of course also mentioned and his own uncle Ralf fuels the rumors
even further in the

Formula 1: Ralf sees a realistic chance for Mick at Mercedes
After Mick Schumacher did not receive a new contract from Haas F1 Team in 2022, he had to leave Formula 1 as a regular driver.
However, Toto Wolff recognized his potential and hired the German directly as a reserve driver for Mercedes, which he is still for the 2024 season. The fact that one of the most coveted regular driver positions in Formula 1 is now available could be a great opportunity for Mick.
His uncle Ralf Schumacher thinks the chance for Mick to drive for Mercedes is quite realistic: “I think Mick's chances are good and I think he deserves the chance.
Alongside Russell, he would be a man to build for the future.
I’m pretty confident about that, now only Toto Wolff has to agree.”

Formula 1: Toto Wolff fueled rumors about Mick himself in an interview
Ralf also notes that Toto has only said positive things about Mick so far.
However, it remains to be seen what the Mercedes boss will bet on for his team.
“George Russell, if he doesn't make any mistakes, is certainly capable of following in Lewis' footsteps and leading the team.
Now the question is: Do you go for experience or bring in new, young people?
Mick would certainly be one of the best options in the young area,” said the former Formula 1 driver.
By the way, Toto Wolff himself has already fueled the rumors about Mick by saying at a media round that he could definitely imagine a “courageous decision”.
And then there is the fairy tale of “like father like son”.
Then Michael came back after a break from the motorsport series and drove for Mercedes, maybe the same thing can happen to Mick now.
