Nigeria's star striker, Victor Osimhen (27 caps, 20 goals), is very doubtful for the semi-final of the African Cup of Nations this Wednesday against South Africa (6 p.m.), announced Monday evening a spokesperson for the “Super Eagles” in a press release.
Osimhen, the spearhead of the Nigerian attack, suffers from abdominal discomfort.
He did not fly Monday evening with the rest of the team to Bouaké, where the match will take place.
The man in the plastic mask, elected African Ballon d'Or of the year 2023, did not train before the team's departure from Abidjan either.

“Team doctors confirmed that he had been placed under close surveillance and that a member of the medical team had remained in Abidjan with him,” said spokesperson Babafemi Raji.
Hit several times during the tough duels against Angola in the quarter-final on Friday, Osimhen was replaced at the end of the match.
The 25-year-old Naples striker has scored a goal and provided an assist since the start of the tournament, in which Nigeria is undefeated (1 draw and 4 wins).
