End, at least provisional, of the imbroglio around Karim Benzema in Saudi Arabia.
This Monday evening, February 5, his club Al-Ittihad published images of his return to training after weeks of absence.
At the end of December, the 2022 Ballon d'or had disappeared from the radar.
He had skipped training before being removed from the group for a championship match and then for the training camp by his coach Marcelo Gallardo.
After leaving on vacation in Mauritius, the attacker was slow to return to Saudi Arabia, explaining that he was stuck by the passage of Cyclone Belal.

Karim Benzema would then have tried to find a base in Europe, six months after his departure from Real Madrid, the club with which he won five Champions Leagues (2014, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2022).
Announced with Chelsea or Olympique Lyonnais, his training club, the former French international (97 caps, 37 goals) will ultimately continue his career with Al-Ittihad.
Aged 36, he should therefore play again quickly.
Al-Ittihad, where N'Golo Kanté also plays, is in 7th place in the local championship after 19 days (out of 34) and is 15 points behind the leader, Al-Hilal.
