Red Bull is investigating its own team boss Horner
“External investigations” were initiated against Christian Horner, team boss of Red Bull Racing.
The Austrian company announced this on Monday (February 5th), a few weeks before the start of the new season.
The background to the investigation is said to be serious allegations made by an employee against the 50-year-old.
“An independent investigation has been launched into the recent allegations.
It will be carried out by an external independent investigation lawyer and will be completed as quickly as possible,” said the Red Bull statement.
Red Bull Racing did not initially respond to a request.

Horner is said to have already been advised to resign

the allegations about Horner's alleged inappropriate behavior towards a colleague first came to light during the Hahnenkamm ski race in Kitzbühel.
The exact allegations are not known.

Horner has been team boss since the Red Bull team was founded in 2005.
Under the Brit's leadership, Red Bull won seven world championship drivers' titles and six constructors' titles.
