Thomas Müller broke a very special record with his FC Bayern Munich's 3-1 win - and is now being celebrated online for it.
Munich - You can see the pride and joy in him - and, according to Thomas Müller, he has earned both, and in any case, he has worked hard for them.
At least that's what his numerous
followers confirm.
The FC Bayern Munich star not only celebrated an important three-pointer (3-1) against Borussia Mönchengladbach in the Bundesliga championship fight, but also his 500th victory in the dress of the German record champions.
A first and unique success for the Munich team, which is of course duly acknowledged and which Müller also captures via Instagram snapshot with a jersey with the special number 500.

Müller celebrates a memorable milestone and Bayern record
Thomas Müller, who had put his team on the road to success against Mönchengladbach after a 0-1 deficit - he provided the assist for Aleksandar Pavlović to make it 1-1 (45th) - was happy about his victory on the 20th matchday of the season 332nd triple Bundesliga point win with Bayern.
Incidentally, his teammate Manuel Neuer achieved the same result.
Müller, who can already look back on an incredible twelve German championship titles, is shining across all competitions, but now with the aforementioned 500 successes with his colors.
On his Instagram channel, Bayern's number 25 is enthusiastic and grateful and writes in a post: “Many thanks for everything to my teammates.
I enjoyed the game today.
500 wins are just a number, but it comes with a lot of great memories - let's win the next one." With a wink and a cup emoji, the charismatic Bayern star added: "It would be important."

Ex-Bayern teammate calls for a statue for Thomas Müller
Of course, the reactions on
didn't take long to arrive.
Quite a few users simply respond appreciatively with “Legend” to Müller’s post.
Another follower writes: “Congratulations, you are simply the best.” Teammate Manuel Neuer also reacts with a clapping emoji, as does former Bayern champion Frank Ribery and handball icon Stefan Kretzschmar.
Ex-ski racing ace Felix Neureuther is also one of the
well-wishers, as is another former Munich teammate of Müller, Daniel Sikorski.
The 36-year-old Austrian and former professional (including FC St. Gallen, SV Ried) even formulated a very special suggestion.
In the comments on the Müller post, Sikorski writes: "It's time for a statue." With this request, Sikorski - who worked for the Bayern reserves for five years and was also active there with Müller in the meantime - but never made it to the professionals there himself grabbed hundreds of Instagram likes.
One user also responded promptly and wanted a Müller sculpture “with Beckenbauer next to each other.”

Müller's 500th victory: Manuel Neuer congratulates, teammates celebrate
In another Instagram post shared by FC Bayern Munich, you can see how Bayern captain Manuel Neuer congratulates his long-time companion and presents the special jersey with the “500” inlaid in a picture frame in the Bayern dressing room.
At the same time, all teammates present clap and loudly cheer for their veteran and new record holder.
With his latest award, Thomas Müller continues his long-lasting success story at Bayern.
The 2014 World Cup winner made his professional debut in Munich in August 2008. With just 22 seasons, Müller broke Bayern's first mark of 100 victories on April 17, 2012.
The 200 followed in December 2014, the 300 in January 2018 and the strong performance of 400 three-pointers with the Munich team was last achieved by the offensive player on November 23, 2020 in the 6-2 win against FC Salzburg in the Champions League.
Bayern are next in demand in the league against Bayer Leverkusen - Müller himself would like to see himself in the starting line-up, as he recently explained.
