It is a firm and definitive step.
Anne Hidalgo, mayor of Paris since 2014, sent a final message to PSG this morning about the desire of the club chaired by Nasser Al-Khelaïfi to buy the Parc des Princes.
“I say it again today and once and for all: there will be no sale of the Parc des Princes, it is the heritage of Parisians.
The subject is closed,” says the councilor of the French capital, in the columns of Ouest-France, reiterating a position that she had already expressed a year ago to readers of Le Parisien.
And that the Paris Council should follow this Tuesday with a wish put to the vote to reaffirm that “the wish of the owner of PSG to acquire the stadium cannot prevail over the desire for this legendary venue to remain part of the heritage”.
Still with Ouest-France, Anne Hidalgo elaborates: “The City was accused quite violently during the Football World Cup in Qatar, accusing us of preventing the club from developing.
More recently outrageous comments have been made.
