You have ski jumping in your blood.
The Prevc family has been touring the ski jumps around the world for years.
Now Slovenia's top jumper Peter Prevc is quitting.
Munich – Peter Prevc is retiring at the end of this season!
The oldest of the four ski-jumping Prevc siblings announced the end of his career on Instagram and at a press conference on Tuesday.
The most successful jumper in Slovenia should be pleased with his farewell: he will probably be farewelled at his home World Cup (March 24th) in Planica.
Prevc is a superstar in his country
So he should be sure to get attention at the home World Cup.
In Slovenia, Prevc has been voted athlete of the year several times.
Prevc has been jumping with the elite since December 2009 and has achieved 23 victories.
He is currently in 13th place. The year 2015/16 was his most successful season, when he achieved overall victory in the Four Hills Tournament and won the overall World Cup.
But he can also look back on an individual title, winning it in 2016 at the Ski Flying World Championships on Kulm.
In 2022, Prevc became Olympic champion in the mixed team competition.
He also immortalized himself in the history books of ski jumping with one jump: Prevc was the first ski jumper to sail over 250 meters.
Was named athlete of the year four times in Slovenia: ski jumper Peter Prevcs.

Succession already clarified: his sister leads the World Cup
The name will remain with the sport for the time being, because his two younger brothers Cene and Domen also jumped in the World Cup.
Cene won a World Cup as a team, but has since ended his career.
Domen has five successes, but is currently playing no role in the World Cup with 22nd place.
His sister is likely to follow in Peter Prevc's footsteps: Nika Prevc has won six women's World Cup competitions so far and is currently dominating the scene.
The 18-year-old leads the overall World Cup by a wide margin and this year also won the two-night tour, which was held for the first time - the women's Four Hills Tournament, so to speak.
