Tennis: Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic announced in a new exhibition tournament in Saudi Arabia

The General Entertainment Authority, an organ of the Saudi government, unveiled this Monday, February 5, the launch of a new tennis tournament at the end of the season: the “Six Kings Slam”.

A competition which will bring together the best tennis players on the planet in October.

Among the six players announced are recent Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner, world number one Novak Djokovic, Spaniards Rafael Nadal and Carlos Alcaraz, Russian Daniil Medvedev and Denmark's Holger Rune.

A field of choice, which includes the four best players in the ATP rankings, the 7th player in the world, and the record holder for victories at Roland Garros (14).

The format and exact dates of this new tournament are not yet known.

This exhibition is also an opportunity for Saudi Arabia to repeat last year's experience and advance its pawns in the world of tennis.

On December 27, 2023, Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic faced each other during the Riyadh Tennis Cup with a final victory for the younger of the two players, Alcaraz (4-6, 6-4, 6-4).
