The “Peißenberg Miners” defeated TEV Miesbach 3-1 at the end of the preliminary round.

However, an action by the fans at the start of the game caused a stir.

Peißenberg

– The last game of the “Peißenberg Miners” in the Bayernliga preliminary round was tough.

In addition to the direct duel for second place, which Peißenberg won 3-1 against TEV Miesbach, there was also a protest by the fans.

Fans in focus at the “Miners” home game

When it comes to “fans”:

The fans of the “Peißenberg Miners” received several praises this season for their loud support of their own team.

A large number of supporters also regularly made pilgrimages to the away games.

However, during the performance on January 26th against EHC Klostersee in Grafing, things got out of hand.

“There were various clashes between fan groups, which made it necessary to deploy 50 police officers,” said the Ebersberg police station.

Before the game, 25 people were identified who got off the fan bus from Peißenberg wearing red tube scarves, some of which were pulled up to the area around their eyes.

After provocations and verbal arguments during the game, the “Miners” fan group wanted to leave the stadium early.

“Contrary to what was stated, she turned towards the city center, which was prevented by the emergency services with a police line,” said the police.

There were also some opposing fans there.

Afterwards, part of the Peißenberg group masked themselves.

“There was a mutual assessment that the group wanted to attack the opposing scene,” said the Ebersberg police.

A “Miners” fan who tried to break the chain was prevented from doing so with “immediate force” and taken for inspection.

But he was able to take the bus home later.

The police recommended that this violent fan and another who was identified as the ringleader be banned from the stadium in Peißenberg.

“We are following this recommendation and, like Klostersee, are banning the two people from the stadium,” said TSV vice-president Markus Heidler in an official video message.

“Violent behavior has no place in sport and in the TSV.” Presidium member Annette Halbritter added: “We apologize to the EHC Klostersee for the riots.” The TSV board also asked the ice hockey department to submit a written statement.

According to Anja Dilba, the TSV's confidant, “in the best case” those affected by the ban should also submit one.

Those fan club members who are not affected by the exclusion protested at the home game against Miesbach with a large banner: “Raise stadium bans – immediately” it read.

The fans stayed away from their seats in the first third.

In the second half of the game they took their usual positions and loudly supported the team.

The game: Peißenberg wins the prestigious duel

When it comes to the “game”:

The “Miners” won the prestigious duel against TEV Miesbach and perfected second place with a 3-1 win.

“The victory was deserved because we had more chances,” said “Miners” coach Sepp Staltmayr, whose team dominated the action in the first round.

“We weren't ready at all,” said TEV coach Zdenek Travnicek, annoyed about the weak start of his team, which arrived without the injured foreigners Bobby Slavicek and Patrick Asselin.

However, the Peißenberg team missed out on a number of top-class opportunities.

Dominic Krabbat failed first at the post (6th) and then twice (11th, 13th) by TEV goalie Philipp Lehr.

In between, Ryan Murphy (12th) shot just wide.

Only Lynnden Pastachak (16th) made it 1-0.

From the second third onwards, the Miesbachers took part more actively in the game.

“Miners” goalkeeper Korbinian Sertl defused a solo effort by Felix Feuerreiter (26th).

A little later he had to admit defeat to Aziz Ehliz's backhand shot (27th).

“After that, the third was very disjointed,” said Staltmayr.

In the final half, a remarkable goal from Dejan Vogl, who made it 2-1 from a tight angle, brought more life into the place.

“From then on there was more heat in the game from both sides,” said Staltmayr.

There were immediately more penalty times, although both teams were unable to capitalize on the advantage opportunities that presented themselves.

The Peißenberg team defended their lead with a lot of effort.

Miesbach had a few opportunities, but Sertl was in the post.

Almost three minutes before the siren, Travnicek took his goalie off the ice for a skater.

But even this measure could no longer turn the game around.

After Vogl failed, Martin Andrä (59th) made it 3-1 with an empty net goal.
