Biathlon World Cup: What are the Germans' chances?

Better than expected at the start of the season, the German ski hunters have a realistic chance of winning a medal in every competition.

Five athletes and two female athletes have already reached the podium in the individual races in the World Cup, and the relays are already among the favorites.

Among the women, Preuß in particular can be expected to pull off a coup in her comeback year, and Voigt has also established herself at the top.

In the men's race, Doll, Nawrath and Rees have already won races this season, but Doll, the great hope, is ailing with a cold before the start of the World Cup.

Herrmann-Wick saved the balance in each case.

At the 2022 Olympics in Beijing, she won gold in the individual and bronze in the women's relay.

In Oberhof, based on their favorite hit, the party train had no brakes.

In addition to gold in the sprint and silver in the pursuit, Herrmann-Wick won silver in the relay at the home World Championships.

For the men, Arnd Peiffer recently won a medal with silver in the individual at the 2021 World Championships in Pokljuka.
