Did you miss Olympique Lyonnais' victory at Groupama Stadium against their Marseille rival (1-0)?

Do you hope to be able to see her again peacefully?

It's impossible.

Since Monday, Amazon Prime Video has deleted the replay of this poster, justifying this choice with a short message: “Due to events advocating hatred, violence or discrimination against a person or group of people during the match, the replay of this match is not available.

These are supporters' chants which are targeted.

During the broadcast of the match, it was in fact possible to hear certain fans chanting several times “Marseille, Marseille, we enc you…”, which Amazon Prime Video and the Professional Football League (LFP) cannot. and no longer want to accept.

Last May, the “LGBT Families” association had, in this regard, filed a complaint for “homophobic insults and public provocations” against Prime Video, accusing the broadcaster of relaying these insults on television.

The replays of three Olympique de Marseille matches were targeted.

When contacted, an Amazon spokesperson assured us of the group's position: "Homophobia has no place in sport or in society and we condemn it, like all forms of discrimination, with the utmost firmness.”

A dozen other Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches affected

To remedy this, a procedure has been in place for several months.

“At each stadium, the delegates (of the LFP) and the media managers are in direct contact,” explains the LFP.

At the stadium, the delegates identify oral (songs) or written (banners) demonstrations of an insulting, discriminatory, homophobic, racist or violent nature.

In the event of an incident of this type, the delegates communicate the information to the media manager.

The work then continues after the meetings.

“At the end of the day, the LFP sends Prime Video a summary of incidents of this type, which complements the alerts already put in place by the Prime Video teams during the meetings,” continues the League.

After reading this information, Prime Video then decides what actions to take regarding the broadcast of the replay(s) concerned.

This is therefore what happened for this “Olympic” and for a dozen other Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 matches since the creation of this procedure.

When requested, Amazon Prime Video has not yet responded to our request to explain why the replay is still not visible several days after the meeting.

But given the recurrence of these homophobic chants during this match between OL and OM, the scale of the work to be done could explain this delay.
