Betclic Élite innovates.
Sunday evening, in the brand new Adidas Arena, the meeting between Paris Basketball and Saint-Quentin will be the occasion of a great first: two players will wear an on-board camera on their chest to offer viewers a totally immersive broadcast of the match .
It is the Parisian leader Nadir Hifi and the Saint-Quentin winger Melvin Ajinça who will be the guinea pigs of this experiment, which will be followed on La Chaîne L'Équipe and Skweek.
The main partner of the National Basketball League, Betclic, is at the origin of this innovation.
“Betclic’s promise is to constantly innovate to offer the most intense, most entertaining and most immersive experiences to sports fans,” explains the League in a press release.
Bringing sport to life from the inside, as close as possible to the field, has never been done during an official competition.

I am particularly delighted as the entire professional basketball ecosystem has mobilized to offer this experiment on an official match: from our clubs to the players, including the coaches, referees, partner- namer and distributors”.
An opinion shared by Cyril Mejane, editorial director of Skweek: “This system is an extension of the promise we made at the start of the season to basketball fans in France with the removal of automatic cameras and redesigned programming: to make basketball a exceptional experience.”
It's now up to Melvin Ajinça and Nadir Hifi to put on the show, so that this first experience is successful, and that it calls for others.
But this experiment will not be the only interest of this meeting.
Respectively 5th and 6th, the two teams are both aiming for a place in the playoffs and want to avoid fearing the return of Cholet, Dijon or even Le Portel.
A victory, one week before the Leaders Cup and the international break, would therefore be welcome to stay in contact with the four clubs which occupy the head of the Betclic Elite: Monaco, Bourg-en-Bresse, Lyon-Villeurbanne and Nanterre.
