Germany is hoping for a successful Biathlon World Cup: “The whole country is watching and excited”
“They really motivated us and we wouldn't have thought that so many people from football would follow biathlon so closely,” said Justus Strelow, who together with Philipp Nawrath, Franziska Preuß and Vanessa Voigt at the start on Wednesday (5.20 p.m./ARD and Eurosport) wants to win their first medal with the mixed relay.
"That's great.
It showed everyone what a big deal this is.

Nagelsmann and biathlon: A special story
Nagelsmann's affinity for biathlon has been known for some time.
In December 2022, the then coach of FC Bayern Munich sat in the stands with his partner at the World Cup in Hochfilzen, Austria, and watched the races privately.
After he was discovered, he then had his photo taken with the German team in the finish area.
Neuer and Kimmich also said they watched the races on television.
“I’m keeping my fingers crossed, I’ll switch on,” said Kimmich.
Ex-national player and European Championship chief organizer Philipp Lahm added: “May your shots be precise, your legs and arms persistent.”
