The draw for the group stage of the Nations League for the 2024/25 season is being held at this time (live broadcast on Sport1) when the Israeli national team is for the first time in its history in League A together with the European Lions.
Alon Hazan's players are indeed focused on the playoff stage for promotion to Euro 2024 in March, but the games that will start this coming September will be particularly difficult and interesting for the national team.
Israel is ranked in the draw in the fourth tier, this after qualifying from the second tier of League B, when together with it in the tier are the national teams of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Scotland, which it will not be able to meet.
Israel's possible opponents are Spain, the factory champions, Croatia, Italy and the Netherlands from tier 1. Denmark, Portugal, Belgium and Hungary are in tier 2.
In Tier 3, Switzerland, Germany, Poland and France could be the team's opponents in a particularly difficult draw that awaits them.
The draw may determine a particularly difficult house with Spain, Portugal and France, while another attractive house could be with the Netherlands, Belgium and Germany.
The most comfortable home, on paper at least, is expected to include Croatia, Hungary and Poland.

The first round of the group stage will start between September 5 and 7 and will close with the sixth round between November 17 and 19.
Should you sensationally qualify for the quarter-finals, the games will be held in March 2025, with the final stages of the tournament taking place between June 4 and 8.
