René Maric takes over the FC Bayern U19 team.

René Marić is not only responsible for coaching development and playing philosophy at the FC Bayern campus.
He now also coaches the U19 team of the record champions.
Munich - René Marić (31) didn't have to think long about this decision.
It was only in the afternoon of FC Bayern's U19 training session that the Austrian learned on Monday that the club had separated from coach Michael Hartmann (49) and that he was the ideal solution to succeed him.
Marić agreed.
A question of honor – also because he has been a fan of FC Bayern since his childhood.
Already on Wednesday (6 p.m., live stream on fcbayern.com), the Munich team will be fighting for a place in the round of 16 of the prestigious Youth League in the playoff game against FC Basel.
So Marić didn't have much time to get the team, which is only in seventh place in the A-Junior Bundesliga South/Southwest after three games without a win in a row, back on track.

learned, at the start of his new role, the football expert attaches particular importance to bringing new energy to the team and conveying as much content as possible.
The U19s should be more dominant again like Bayern with the ball and put the opponents under pressure.
It's about decision-making and positioning of the talent.
It is important that the players behave in an exemplary manner both on and off the pitch and embody the values we have defined together.
New FC Bayern U19 coach: Marić's coaching role model is Ernst Happel
Marić's focus is clearly on player development.
Ideally, this is accompanied by good results.
The Salzburg player, whose role model is coaching icon Ernst Happel, has agreed to help out as U19 coach until the end of the season.
“We wish him much success in his tasks over the next few months,” emphasizes sports director Christoph Freund (46).
The ex-Red Bull boss was in charge of Marić's appointment as team leader for coaching development and playing philosophy on campus in November.
The former assistant coach of Marco Rose (47) continues to carry out this job additionally.

Marić, who once made a name for himself as an author at the tactics blog spielverkation.de, is the contact person for Munich's young coaches.
Meetings take place regularly.
He also brings in expertise in the form of guest lectures; most recently, basketball coach Sergio Lara was a guest on campus.

The fact is: Marić's current dual role is extremely time-consuming.
But he probably likes to do this for FC Bayern.
It is heard from those close to the record champions that he is said to have rejected offers from the first leagues of Austria and Belgium as well as from the second English league as head coach for his time in Munich, even if only for the time being.
