Highlights: Biathlon Worlds: “It’s crazy,” Julia Simon jubilant after the tricolor triumph in the sprint. “I'm really very happy to have put all my attention, my mind on these shots, here at the Worlds, that day. It's the dream race, I'm happy to be able to experience this moment. The perfect run brings the gold medal, it's a great pride to put out the perfect race,’ she says.

The biathlon world champion enjoyed her coronation and the quadruplet of the Blues in the Czech Republic this Friday.

“It’s something that will be remembered more than the fact that Julia Simon became world champion.

It’s crazy,” said Julia Simon, gold in the sprint ahead of three other French women, at the Biathlon Worlds on Friday.

What is your feeling after this world sprint title?

Have you gotten closer to the perfect race?

It was really a great race, well constructed from start to finish.

The important thing was to put the balls in, I managed to do it and I'm really satisfied.

She's getting close to the perfect race.

Once out of the shooting range, I admit that it cut my legs a little, I had difficulty finishing the race and I think I left seconds to think a little too much.

But I'm really very happy to have put all my attention, my mind on these shots, here at the Worlds, that day.

It's the dream race, I'm happy to have been able to experience this moment.

The perfect run brings the gold medal.

It's a great pride to have put out the perfect race.

What does this historic quadruplet of French women inspire you?

It's awesome.

And it goes together, because I'm happy to be at the top of this quadruplet.

This is something that will be remembered more than the fact that Julia Simon became world champion that day.

That's crazy.

This title comes after a complicated summer.

Touched but not sunk, I am still here, still in the battle.

Last season was crazy, we know it's not easy to confirm behind, but I manage to do it, so that's nice.

It took a lot of energy, I wasn't used to being in the spotlight like that, doing a media tour in Paris, it's a great challenge.

I started the season a little tired and being able to put in the energy at the right time proves to me that we have unsuspected resources.

Was there a stronger emotion on the podium and during the Marseillaise?

Sophie (Chauveau, fourth) told me that I had the right to cry, so I cried (laughs).

It's cool, it's so much work that comes to fruition... It's hard to explain, I'm very modest when it comes to emotions.

I'm not used to giving up like that.

But if I don't do it when I'm world champion, I never do it.

Q: How do you see the chase coming on Sunday?

With Justine's speed on skis, I have to expect a comeback.

But it will be a race like any other, we will have to play on the shooting range, and behind we will see.

I want to enjoy the moment.

Ok, it's a World Championship race, but it's still a biathlon race with targets to shoot down, skiing to do, we're going to try to keep things simple.

You did not miss a single target out of twenty shots (10 in mixed relay and 10 in sprint).

Do you think you have mastered this shooting range?

We don't have complicated conditions, it's easy to manage.

We're lucky, maybe we'll have moments that move more.
