The next milestone for Frankfurter Eintracht: The club is the largest multi-sports club in the world with a professional football team.

Frankfurt – 14,000 athletes in over 50 sports – in addition to a football team that has been more than successful in recent years: These record numbers have now brought Eintracht Frankfurt its next “title”.

There is no larger sports club in the world that also serves multiple disciplines and has a professional football team.

Study confirms: Eintracht Frankfurt is the largest club in the world

To prove this, the Hessians themselves commissioned the market research institute IRIS Sport, which confirmed the figures.

This means that Eintracht not only leaves other Bundesliga clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich behind, but also many top international clubs such as Benfica Lisbon or Boca Juniors from Argentina.

“Eintracht Frankfurt has developed into the region’s beacon in recent years and offers an attractive range of sports for people of all stripes.

The fact that we are now in first place worldwide is sensational,” explains the new Eintracht President Mathias Beck.

Triathlon, curling & Co.: Eintracht is active in many sports

The club now has a total of 135,000 members (as of February 5th) and brings together many successful teams and sports under one roof.

In addition to the largest triathlon department in Germany, Eintracht also offers the largest tennis department in Hesse with around 1,000 athletes as well as over 20 teams in the sports of handball, basketball and table tennis.

In addition, investments have also been made in more unusual sports in recent years and months.

In addition to Frisbee, cheerleading and curling, the club also has its own academy for e-sports.

A separate golf department was also founded.

“We want to continue to grow”: New Eintracht president looks ahead

Despite a broad portfolio of sports and thousands of active athletes in the club, the Main club “does not want to rest, but rather continue to grow”.

“We still have a lot of potential in active sports,” explained Beck.

Among other things, the long waiting list for children's gymnastics is unacceptable.

“Here I see a clear mandate for us to give every child the opportunity to exercise in the future,” the President made clear.

To make this possible in other sports, Eintracht is also planning to invest funds in new facilities.

“We would like to focus more intensively on our own sports facilities in the future and are prepared to invest here.

We want to give all athletes a home,” said Beck.
