Munich – The game of games is approaching: FC Bayern wants to conquer the top of the table in the Bundesliga clash against Bayer Leverkusen.
There are easier tasks: Xabi Alonso's Werkself are still unbeaten this season.
The game at the BayArena (Saturday, 6:30 p.m., TV information can be found here) could be groundbreaking for the rest of the season.
Former national player Michael Ballack (47) is also looking forward to the appearances of the two offensive players Florian Wirtz and Jamal Musiala in the top Bundesliga game between Bayer Leverkusen and FC Bayern.
“Both are very strong individually, they can resolve any situation,” Ballack told the

FC Bayern fears for Neuer: Can the captain play against Leverkusen?
“For me, Wirtz is a little more crucial for Leverkusen because he influences the continuation of the game from the defensive midfield to the creative area up front.
That's not quite the case with Musiala because Bayern, with their outstanding wing players, have a high level of individual quality that is second to none.”
But of course it's not just about the two young high-class technicians, but also about experience.
An important support for FC Bayern would be Manuel Neuer - and his appearance on Saturday is still questionable.
The four-time world goalkeeper only trained individually on Thursday and is still struggling with knee problems.
At the press conference, FCB coach Thomas Tuchel will explain what the current status is with Neuer and also with Joshua Kimmich and Dayot Upamecano, who have returned to training.
