Olympic ski champion Carlo Janka has ended his career and is enjoying time with his family, which will soon be growing.
Munich – The 2023/24 ski season is in full swing, but not for Carlo Janka.
The ski racer from Switzerland ended his career in 2022 and has been enjoying time with his wife and two children ever since.
The 37-year-old is happy that the family is growing, as the third child is on the way.

Now we just have to wait until you are the third little Janka miracle in our arms.
We are so excited for you,” writes Carlo Janka under a photo on Instagram that shows him with his family.
His wife already has a bulging baby bump in the photo, and the offspring is due to see the light of day in February
However, the former ski racer did not reveal the secret about the gender of the third child.
To date, he and his wife have two daughters.

Carlo Janka made his World Cup debut in 2005.
He celebrated numerous successes in his long career.
At the 2009 World Championships in Val d'Isère, France, he won gold in the giant slalom and bronze in the downhill.
Janka was also able to achieve success at the Winter Olympics, winning gold in the giant slalom in Vancouver in 2010.
He also won the overall World Cup in the 2009/10 season.

In January 2022 he announced his immediate retirement.
The reason for this was years of health problems, especially in the back area.

What a nice end for me on the Lauberhorn.
Thank you to everyone who accompanied me on this long and beautiful journey.
It was a wonderful time and now the next chapter awaits me,” he wrote on his Instagram account.

Since the end of his career, Carlo Janka has worked as a health and nutrition coach and founded his own company in this area with his wife.
