Ski racer Aleksander Aamodt Kilde sharply criticizes the Norwegian association and even threatens to resign - in the middle of rehab.
Oslo – Norwegian ski star Aleksander Aamodt Kilde suffered serious injuries in a bad fall on the Lauberhorn descent in Wengen a few weeks ago.
He cannot yet give a prediction for a possible comeback.
“The situation surrounding my injury is unclear.
I'm confident that things will be fine again, but the question is how long it will take," he said at a recent press conference.
Ski star Kilde with sharp criticism of the association
“It's too early to say whether I'll be able to get back on skis like before and win races again.
But of course I want to get back to what I love,” said the 31-year-old, who is currently in rehab.
But will there even be a comeback in the World Cup?
At the moment this seems unclear, as Kilde sharply criticized the Norwegian association.
“I realize that something has to change at the top of the ski association when I come back,” he said in an interview with
NRK

Kilde accuses the association of arrogance and unprofessional behavior.
“I have to say that my trust in the association has weakened considerably.
If you ask me, it's very clear what we need to change here: it's the board and the way things are managed," said the ski star in a round-the-clock blow.
Norwegian Ski Association responds to Kilde criticism
Kilde believes that external people need to be found who are willing to change the association.
“We need someone with personality who is ready to fight for it,” said the Norwegian.
However, he did not explain what exactly he wanted from the association in his conversation with

The Norwegian Ski Association responded to the criticism with an official statement: “The athletes are the most important thing we have and we work for them every day.
For this reason, Aleksander was invited to the committee and we will listen to him and the other athlete representatives and think together about what we can modernize.” The question remains whether the association can convince Kilde or whether he will really resign.
