In August 2021, Paris FC was very close to signing Finnish international defender Daniel O'Shaughnessy.
But his club HJK Helsinki finally blocked him and he joined Karlsruhe (Bundesliga 2) the following December.
With the Finnish champion, things went better to attract left back Tuomas Ollila, who signed for Paris FC for three and a half years.
For the first time, the Parisian club has therefore managed to complete the transfer of a player from the Scandinavian market, a land that it had not exploited until then, unlike many French teams.

“His profile corresponded to what we were looking for financially, it remains affordable and we know that with Scandinavian players, it is often reliable and straightforward,” explains a player in this transfer.
The 23-year-old Finnish international (2 caps) was offered to coach Stéphane Gilli and the sports management via an intermediary.
“It was a contact in France who contacted my agents to tell us about Paris FC,” explains Tuomas Ollila, who was also followed by Le Havre (L1) and Eredivisie clubs (D1) in the Netherlands.
