The discussions about Joshua Kimmich at FC Bayern Munich continue.
Now a former Bayern official has stepped in and defended the national player.
Munich – There was a time when Joshua Kimmich was untouchable in the FC Bayern uniform.
But now Kimmich, who was recently sidelined with a shoulder injury, is increasingly facing criticism.
While one expert after another criticizes the midfielder's development, a former Bayern official is now jumping to his side.
Kimmich discoverer: “He is playing a good season at FC Bayern”

, Michael Reschke cannot understand the harsh criticism of the FC Bayern playmaker: “For me, Joshua Kimmich has been judged far too negatively in the last 12 months.
“He’s having a good season,” emphasized Reschke, who was also responsible for Kimmich’s signing as technical director at FC Bayern from 2014 to 2017.
However, he can understand Tuchel's desire for a new addition to the defensive midfield.
"My belief - even if he doesn't like to hear it - is this: Joshua is best and most valuable in the number eight position when he has an aggressive ball winner at his side."

Michael Reschke sees Kimmich's qualities on the offensive
Kimmich's qualities would therefore primarily lie in the offensive and he cannot currently bring these to bear as a clearer.
A new addition would only help the national player.
“Putting a Javi Martínez-type at Jo’s side would be ideal – for Bayern and for Jo, who would then show more clearly that he is a top international player.”
However, FC Bayern already has five players fighting for two positions in central midfield: Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Konrad Laimer, Aleks Pavlovic and Raphaël Guerreiro.
Another newcomer would make this situation even worse and inevitably cause dissatisfaction.
“If a six comes along, you would almost inevitably have to give up one, maybe even two eights,” emphasized Reschke.
“Otherwise the risk of too much dissatisfaction in the squad is too great.”
