Bahamian Devynne Charlton improved the indoor 60-meter hurdles world record on Sunday, winning in a time of 7.67 seconds at the Millrose Games in New York.


Vice-world indoor champion in 2022, Charlton erases from the shelves the mark of 7'68 established by the Swede Susanna Kallur in 2008 in Karlsruhe, Germany.

“I knew I had it in me, but it took a lot to put this race together

,” she commented.

“I had good feelings in my preparation.

I got the start I needed.

I held on,”

she continued.

With this performance, Devynne Charlton will naturally be the athlete to beat in this event at the Indoor Worlds next month in Glasgow.
