The defeat against Leverkusen puts Thomas Tuchel under pressure.

Bayern board member Dreesen is stumped by a recurring topic.

Leverkusen – Last season, a defeat in Leverkusen cost Julian Nagelsmann his coaching job at FC Bayern.

Will Thomas Tuchel suffer the same fate?

Tuchel's acute job security is probably not that bad, even if his approach in the top game provoked a variety of criticism.

FC Bayern is repeating old mistakes with new tactics

FC Bayern's surprising line-up was discussed in detail shortly after the top game kicked off.

After the disappointing performance of the Bayern team, CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen did not want to comment on this topic.

Bayern's performance was certainly a negative highlight in recent years, but despite the tactical experiment, some problems were not new.

The Munich team actually started the game well, but completely lost the thread after the opening quarter of an hour.

Not for the first time this season, Bayern's performance fluctuated enormously within a game.

A point that Dreesen was also asked about.

He couldn't offer an explanation: “Why is that?

There are experts for that.

We have to ask the coach.” And the coach?

Tuchel has often criticized the lack of consistency and the discrepancy between training and game performance this season.

But he doesn't seem to have found a solution yet.

Bayern board member Dreesen fends off coaching questions

While a change in the performance of the Bayern team would certainly be desirable for those responsible, they want to maintain consistency in the coaching position.

When asked about further cooperation between the club and Thomas Tuchel, Dreesen answered briefly but clearly: “Nothing will change.”

Does this mean the coaching debate is off the table?

At least as of now, the Bayern CEO is standing firm.

“I don’t like to repeat myself,” was his answer to a question about Tuchel.

Thomas Müller also didn't want to know anything about the coaching question in his angry speech after the game.
