Tuchel's number one tactical flop: formation experiment in defense
Fans and experts were amazed when Bayern's lineup arrived against Leverkusen: Tuchel relied on a five-man or three-man defense.
Matthijs de Ligt, who was not taken into account, had to watch from the bench as the defense center around Dayot Upamecano, Eric Dier and Minjae Kim had no access to the Bayer offensive.
The entire Bayern team seemed unsettled, only when Tuchel reacted in the 60th minute and switched to the tried and tested 4-2-3-1 did things go a little better.
In the end, it turned out to be a waste of time to rely on a basic order in which the team was not well-coordinated, especially in the most important game of the season.
Lothar Matthäus also criticized something similar sharply during the game.

Tuchel's tactical flop number two: Sacha Boey's helpless Bayern debut on the left
In the newly formed defensive line, new signing Sacha Boey found himself in an unusual position: namely on the left instead of on the right.
Of all things, he played on the left in his starting eleven debut for FC Bayern - he was last used there more than three years ago in Dijon.

Bayern haven't really impressed in the last few weeks.
One constant, however: Matthijs de Ligt.
But although Tuchel fielded three central defenders, he had no use for the Dutchman, who had settled into a rhythm alongside Eric Dier.
On the other hand, Dayot Upamecano and Minjae Kim were not at all in the rhythm of the game: the Frenchman only returned from a muscle injury this week, the South Korean from the Asian Cup.
Although Dier made a positive first impression, he cannot lead Bayern's defense after just three games for the club.
The back line acted in a correspondingly confused manner, which was particularly punished by the Werkself's two “too cheap” (Quuchel quote) goals from Stanisic and Grimaldo.
Tuchel's tactical flop number four: lack of leadership on the pitch
It wasn't a Müller game again - and it wasn't a Kimmich game either.
Tuchel put both leading players on the bench.
Müller as a victim of the system change, Kimmich lost out to 19-year-old Pavlovic.
But a leading figure was sorely missed on the pitch.
When the two were allowed to play in the 60th minute, the Bayern team stabilized, but without developing enough of a goal threat.
Nevertheless, it became clear: without the announcements and ambition of Müller and Kimmich, the Bayern engine would sputter tremendously.
Despite all the criticism of Tuchel, one thing remains clear: the Bayern stars also let their coach down in the painful bankruptcy.
Which, in particular, caused Müller to make a memorable angry speech.
