Las Vegas – The curtain rises on one of the biggest sporting events in the world: The Super Bowl 2024 promises an unprecedented spectacle.
In the final game for the NFL crown, the two best teams in American football, the San Francisco 49ers and defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, will meet on the night of Sunday to Monday (February 12).
The showdown takes place in the gambling metropolis of Las Vegas.
As if all that wasn't enough, pop icon Taylor Swift is causing a stir in advance.

Everything is set: The San Francisco 49ers want to win their first Super Bowl title in almost 30 years.
Four years ago, the Californians came close, but lost to the Chiefs.
This time, quarterback Brock Purdy is supposed to lead the five-time Super Bowl winner to their long-awaited success.
Two years ago in the draft, the 49ers selected him 262nd and last.
In the USA you get the nickname “Mr.
Irrelevant” (“Mr. Unimportant”).
However, Purdy played masterfully and in Christian McCaffrey he has a running back at his side who can do everything.
In the regular season he was the league's best running back with runs for 1,459 yards and 14 touchdowns.
The 49ers also have a strong defense and are therefore slightly favorites.

For Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce and coach Andy Reid, Super Bowl LVIII in Allegiant Stadium at the southern end of the legendary Las Vegas strip is the fourth participation in the NFL finals within five years.
Another success against San Francisco would be the trio's third Super Bowl victory.

This would mean that the Grammy winner would finally steal the show from R&B singer Usher, who was performing in the halftime show at the Super Bowl.

She won the Grammy for Album of the Year for the fourth time - a record.
There is also likely to be a new record for TV ratings.
Thanks to Swift, the NFL is booming more than ever.
Tens of thousands of fans who don't care at all about the outcome of the game between the Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers on Monday night (all TV information) will be sitting in front of the TV - because Swift is cheering on her Travis in a box.
The record rating from last year, when 115.1 million Americans watched, will almost certainly be broken.
