Immediately before the game, Tuchel justified his decision to initially leave Kimmich on the bench as a safety measure: “Josh came into training this week and trained 100 percent without any symptoms.
Nevertheless, the duels in the game are different.

Aleksandar Pavlovic was preferred in central midfield alongside Leon Goretzka.

It wasn't just his coach's decision not to start him from the start that caused frustration for Kimmich, whose discoverer had recently stood up for him.
“I don't have the feeling that we can find each other, that we play well together,” he complained about the lack of coordination in the Bayern team in the mixed zone after the defeat in Leverkusen.
The record champions have to “improve this very, very quickly,” emphasized the 29-year-old.
However, it wasn't because of Tuchel's tactical plan for the encounter.

Lothar Matthäus, on the other hand, didn't say a good word about Bayern's tactics.
