The days pass and Kylian Mbappe's future is still in the dark.
One of the biggest stars in the world of football has not yet decided whether to stay at Paris Saint-Germain or move to Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, when according to "The Athletic", the Frenchman tended to prefer the Blancos option, but "prominent representatives in his entourage were not convinced by the Spaniards' offer, which slowed down the the process".
It turns out that Real's offer was lower than the one offered to Mbappe in the previous contacts between the parties, in May 2022 (signing bonus of 130 million euros alongside a seasonal salary of 26 million euros per season), but it should still make him the player with the highest salary in the club.
Paris, on the other hand, have offered their star a number of different options in recent months, with a seasonal salary of 75 million euros, after taxes and before bonuses.
"Real cannot match this offer, but Florentino Perez feels he has done everything he can to convince Mbappe to sign, and still hopes that will be the case," it said.
A source close to the talks claimed that the president of Real Madrid was "more involved than usual" in the negotiations, but in the meantime no breakthrough was achieved, and Mbappe's entourage did not like the deadline set by the Blancos for the deal.

"They felt they needed more time," Athletic wrote.
"At first Mbappe gave positive indications, and the mood was positive, but his associates said that the salary would be lower than what he would earn at Paris Saint-Germain - or at another team that would court him."
However, even in Paris Saint-Germain itself, they are not optimistic about the possibility of the star signing a new contract, and are aware of the great interest shown by the luxury group from Madrid.
